Grooming Salon Policies

In order to ensure the best possible experience when you come in for a groom, we would like to inform you of our updated policies.

Arrival and Pick Up Policy: Please arrive at your pre-scheduled appointment time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may not be able to accommodate you and will have to reschedule, resulting in a cancellation fee. If we are able to still take you, there will be a $15 late fee per every 15minutes your are late.

Additionally, we kindly request that you pick up your pup within 15 minutes of being notified they are ready, a $15 fee per every 15 minutes late will apply. We prioritize one-on-one care and no crating so please keep these policies in mind when setting up appointments. It is important that everyone arrives on time so that all appointments can be accommodated successfully. If you need more than 15 minutes of travel time, please let us know ahead of time so we can provide you with an accurate pick-up window for your pup.

Cancellation Policy: We ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel your appointment. If you do need to cancel with 24 hours or less before the scheduled appointment, a $30 cancellation fee per dog will be applied.

No Show Policy: If you do not show up for your appointment without canceling prior, you must still pay the full base price for the groom package booked. Being one-on-one limits our capacity to fill that booking slot with short notice; when someone books an appointment, they are also blocking off other clients from being able to do so during that slot as well.

Constant No Shows: Clients who do not show up for their appointment on a consistent basis will have to pay for their appointment at the time of booking in order receive service from Alford's Angels Dog Grooming.

Leash Policy: We ask that all pets remain on a leash or in carriers while both in the parking lot and inside the salon; pups should not roam freely within the lobby area as some dogs may not be comfortable with others making this an unpleasant experience for them (or even potentially dangerous). Additionally, allowing dogs to roam freely increases chances of marking or going potty accidentally in lobby areas - which is something we want to prevent!

Potty Policy: Please allow your dog enough time before his/her grooming appointment to go potty outdoors - this helps reduce accidents during grooming. Additionally, if you know your pup tends to get nervous easily during grooming sessions it may help lessen accidents by limiting food intake prior their visit too! If there's any chance at all of marking behaviors occurring, please let us know ahead so that we can provide appropriate diaper coverage if necessary!

Medication Policy: If your pup is currently taking any type of medication for any reason, it is essential that you inform us prior to their visit so we can watch out for any potential red flags or signs of discomfort during grooming sessions. Especially for those who may be taking sedatives, seizure medications and/or heart medications – we need to have this information in order to make sure everything goes smoothly with each groom!

Matted Dog Policy: If your pup visits us with matting, it is important to be aware of the risks associated with trying to remove the matting. We do our absolute best to carefully remove the matting and use only safe grooming methods and products, but please bear in mind that removing matted hair can be a delicate process and every precaution should be taken to ensure your pup’s safety. To prevent any potential injury while removing the matting, we highly recommend keeping up with routine groomings so their coat remains healthy and free from matting. We kindly remind our clients that we are not responsible for any injuries that may be incurred while removing matting from the pups. Thank you for understanding!

Pricing: Our prices have been carefully calculated to ensure that you get the best value for your money, and we believe that a routine groomer will make all the difference for your pup’s health and wellbeing. On our website, you can find an overview of our prices which may increase if the time between visits is extended, or extra time is needed due to behavior or coat condition.

The benefits of grooming cannot be understated. Not only does it help them look & feel their best but regular visits with their groomer will help build a trusting relationship. This in turn will make them more comfortable in unfamiliar situations and more secure when in the presence of someone they trust. We thank you for your understanding of our policies and we look forward to seeing your pup each visit!
